Zoom Player Professional 8.1.6

Microsoft tries to include as much functionality into its Windows operating system and that is why the OS comes with a default word editor, an image editor, a media player and various other tools. But the simple truth of the matter is that the default tools that come bundled with the Windows operating system are not exactly outstanding. As far as I see it, you could stick with the default programs Windows has to offer, or you cold turn to 3rd party-developed software and get something better.

If you want to play audio and music files, you could stick with the default player, the aptly named Windows Media player – or you could turn to a 3rd party software application like the Inmatrix-developed Zoom Player Home Professional.

The first nice thing about Zoom Player Home Professional is that it application provides support for a large number of media formats, like H.264, XVID, DIVX, DVD, FLV, WMV, QuickTime, MPEG 1/2/4, MP3, AAC, DTS, Dolby Digital, or FLAC, to name but a few. It can even playback DRM protected movies and music.

Another nice thing is that it comes with a simple, intuitive interface that makes it quite easy to use this application. No one, not even the novice computer user will have any problems getting started with Zoom Player Home Professional. If you have ever used a media player before, you will feel right at home with Zoom Player Home Professional. And if you don’t like the default look, you can get skins and change the way the player looks.

Yet another nice thing about Zoom Player Home Professional is that it comes with a long, long list of extra features that should appeal to the more technically oriented computer user, features like extended command line interface, controlling the player from the web browser, and password protecting configurations so others cannot change them.

Everything about this media player is nice. The fact that it is incredibly easy to use, the fact that it will play just about any audio and video file you can think of including incomplete or locked files, the fact that it is customizable, everything. It is a media player that combines ease of use with a long list of powerful features.
